VPLS employees participated in a volunteer activity to clean up Dong Tan Bay in Sattahip District, Chonburi Province, aiming to help care for and restore the beach environment to make it cleaner and safer. This activity is part of the company’s ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. All employees worked together to collect various types of waste, including plastic fragments, glass bottles, food wrappers, and debris washed ashore by the waves, all of which impact both the scenery and the marine ecosystem.

In addition, the team helped sort the waste for proper disposal and promoted awareness among local residents and tourists about the importance of keeping the area clean and reducing single-use plastics. The atmosphere of the activity was filled with fun, teamwork, and pride in contributing to the conservation of Thailand’s seas. The Dong Tan Bay cleanup not only visibly improved the beach’s cleanliness but also provided knowledge and inspiration, helping employees better appreciate the value of the environment.

After completing the cleanup activity at Dong Tan Bay, VPLS employees continued their volunteer efforts at the Sea Turtle Conservation Center of the Royal Thai Navy. There, they helped clean the turtle ponds and surrounding areas. The center plays a vital role in caring for, rehabilitating, and nurturing young or injured sea turtles that are not yet ready to return to the ocean. Participating in the conservation of these rare marine animals provided employees with a highly valuable and meaningful experience.

The team assisted in scrubbing the ponds, changing the water, collecting debris, and checking the environment to ensure it was suitable for the turtles’ growth. They also listened to staff explain the turtle-rearing process and the importance of marine ecosystem conservation. The activity was filled with dedication, cooperation, and a strong sense of teamwork.

This initiative not only supported the work of the conservation center but also helped strengthen environmental awareness among VPLS employees, reinforcing the company’s commitment to preserving and restoring natural resources sustainably.

After cleaning the turtle ponds, VPLS employees also participated in releasing sea turtles back into the wild. The rehabilitated turtles underwent health checks by the staff before being safely released into the ocean. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and awe as everyone watched the turtles gradually swim back to their natural home. This experience highlighted the importance of conserving rare marine species, creating a moment of pride, and reflecting VPLS’s genuine commitment to protecting the environment.
